We are glad to have invited Dr Gary Wong, the Curator of “Exhibiting Hong Kong in London” to share his research findings and exhibits about The Hong Kong Pavilion at the British Empire Exhibition. As mentioned, the Hong Kong Pavilion of the British Empire Exhibition was designed by Herbert William Bird, a former partner of Palmer & Turner, Gary’s in-depth explanation gave us a better idea of how the architect manifested Hong Kong through architectural design during the colonial era.
