Transforming Macau: The Citizen Sports Park

A new landmark is rising in northwest Macau as the Citizen Sports Park takes shape on the historic site of the former Macau Yat Yuen Canidrome. This ambitious redevelopment will revitalize the Lin Fong Sports Centre, a long-standing hub for major events, and introduce a fresh era of sports, fitness, and community engagement for the city.

Inspired by Nature – "City • Mountain: Coexistence"
The architectural design mirrors the beauty of Macau’s layered mountain landscapes. Stacked and stepped green platforms create a dynamic, multi-dimensional form that blends harmoniously with the urban fabric. By strategically positioning key venues—including an indoor swimming pool, multi-sports court, multifunctional hall, and children's play area—the design ensures optimal functionality while preserving scenic view corridors. The sports park extends visually into the Guia Hill, reinforcing its deep connection to Macau’s natural and cultural identity.

A Multi-Level Urban Experience
A three-dimensional pedestrian and recreational system enhances accessibility throughout the park. Elevators, escalators, and bridges seamlessly link different platforms, integrating the project with surrounding footbridges and public spaces. This thoughtful design encourages movement, interaction, and an immersive experience for visitors of all ages.

Set for completion by 2029, the Citizen Sports Park will redefine urban recreation, merging sustainability, innovation, and community-driven design to create a dynamic destination for generations to come.
