ArchSD Annual Award - Merit Award

The Jury’s comment on “A 24-classroom Primary School at Au Pui Wan Street, Fo Tan, Sha Tin” - “The school project represents one of the pioneering examples of adoption of modular construction in building types other than domestic architecture.  It stands out with its clear and efficient construction methodology and adaptability. The jury was impressed by the holistic approach to architectural design, integrating modular construction principles with sustainable practices and dynamic requirements of education facilities.  It fully addresses the functional demand of a school, and strives to create flexible spaces to cater different teaching needs.”

ArchSD Annual Award - Special Award (Urban Design)

The Jury’s comment on “Redevelopment of Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool Complex” - “One of the standout features of this project is the harmonization with existing park environment and improvement of connectivity. By elevating the pool deck above ground, users are provided with better views and privacy.   The project team has also carefully taken into account the soil and rock profile to minimize disturbance to the existing topography. The jury commended the project team’s efforts to come to an integrated design with various constraints addressed, that were turned into opportunities for much enhanced connectivity, fulfilling functional and operational needs.”
