P&T Group proudly leads the way in Mass Engineered Timber (MET) construction with Rivervale Community Club (RVCC), Singapore’s first multi-storey public building using MET. This pioneering project showcases our commitment to sustainable innovation, modern construction technologies, and smart urban solutions.
Designed for the People’s Association and supported by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), RVCC integrates DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles to reduce construction waste, shorten build time, and improve on-site safety and quality.
The hybrid structural system features Glulam columns and beams paired with CLT slabs and walls across the upper levels, while reinforced concrete and steel are used for ground-level, basement, and high-moisture zones to meet fire and performance regulations. Through extensive BIM coordination, international fabrication, and moisture-controlled on-site assembly, the project overcame complex technical challenges while preserving architectural integrity.
RVCC is more than a community space — it’s a testament to how material innovation and collaborative design can transform the future of urban architecture. This milestone reflects P&T’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of sustainable design, precision engineering, and meaningful placemaking.
