Description
The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) & HKIVE Lee Wai Lee Campus aim to be a leading design institute providing quality education and cultivating knowledge, professionalism and new talents for global creative industries. The new campus occupied 14,000 sqm site area and located in Tiu Keng Leng. HKDI aims to bring together all its design-related programmes under one roof, enable the school to gather resources, expertise and synergies to create an even bigger impact on Hong Kong’s design education. One of the challenges in design was to create a dynamic, comprehensive learning environment that nurtures creativity, independence, self-confidence and free thinking, while also provide specialized learning facilities that are feasible to construct. Most importantly, the institute should become an integral part of the surrounding community.
