Description
The Master Nun Chand Kho Nokyoong Centennial Building is an educational, office space and religious development located within the Dhammakaya Foundation. It is inspired by the sphere's powerful representation of Moon and Sun and Stars and encompasses the notion of balance and inner-peace by reflecting level of 'Holistic Purity' within its design. It is visible as an impressive landmark both during the day and night, when its façade transforms into a sparking astrological sculpture. The new development encompasses a holistic approach towards construction and function. Expressive innovative lattice construction methods are employed and are visible on the building's façade. These constructions simultaneously allow the building to maximize natural ventilation and lighting, whilst proposing a durable, everlasting centenary landmark. The development consists of a 17 storey 95m high spherical crystal Ball Offices are located on levels 3-6 of the main podium beneath the Crystal Ball Office, which can be accessed from the main Plaza. Additional facilities such as an extension to the existing canteen, prayer hall, services and carparking are all located on the ground floor of the Podium. The Large Plaza is located on L2, providing an extension to outdoor space with a large portion of this as extensive green area for users and visitors. A Large peacock sculpture located at the base of the base of the podium. Symbolic of Master Nun Chand, it links in the existing development with the centennial building along an axial precession.
