Description
Bearing a premium brand name from Singapore, Raffles City is a major mixed use development located at heart of Shanghai. The project comprises an 8-storey shopping podium with an elliptical atrium surrounded by a lively collection of some of the most chic names in retail, complemented by food and beverage outlets arranged along a curvillinear sweep. The podium elevation is articulated into a series of distinct portions which break down the scale of the building at street level. Adjoining the podium is a 45-storey office tower that addresses the road junction by its combination of glazed quadrant corners with alternating horizontal bands and the gridded fenestration pattern of rectangular frames. A landscaped street mediates between the office tower and retail podium.
