Description
The headquarters of the Macau Bank of China occupies a prominent site at the tip of the Macau peninsula, facing the 1st bridge to Taipa Island. The tower, triangular on plan in response to its location, outlook an urban matrix, reduces gradually into an octagonal floor plan at the top crowned by a distinct roof feature. A large, multi-storey banking hall space is housed in a podium structure, which extends over the whole site. The building provides 40,000 square metres of first-class office accommodation. The project is clad in pink and white Spanish and Chinese granites in combination with silver reflective glass.
