Description
The headquarters of the Macau Bank of China occupies a prominent site at the tip of the Macau peninsula, facing the bridge to Taipa Island.
The tower, triangular in plan in response to the location, outlook and urban matrix, reduces gradually into an octagonal floor plan at the top and is crowned by a distinct roof feature. A large, multi-storey banking hall space is housed in the podium structure and extends over the whole site.
The building is clad in pink and white Spanish and Chinese granites in combination with silver reflective glass and provides 40,000 sq.m. of first class office accommodation.
