Revolutionizing Construction in Singapore: ICPH 4
Located along Airport Road, ICPH 4 (Integrated Construction and Prefabrication Hub) is a next-generation, fully automated manufacturing hub that supports Singapore’s vision to modernize and industrialize construction. Developed by Teambuild, this high-density, multi-storey facility brings together an advanced ecosystem of prefabrication—from concrete casting to finishing and site delivery—all under one roof.
The heart of the innovation lies in the office block, where zero in-situ concreting was achieved on all typical floors. Every structural component—walls, columns, beams, hollow-core slabs, staircases—was fully prefabricated and assembled with extreme precision. Even the staircases were designed in modular quadrants with unique “invisible connections” imported from Europe and verified with 3D-printed prototypes.
To overcome site limitations imposed by the proximity to Paya Lebar Airport, the building’s façade was designed with a balance of functional screening and natural cross-ventilation, achieving both regulatory compliance and interior comfort.
This development is also home to Singapore’s first concrete PPVC dormitories for foreign workers—integrated with recreational and welfare amenities—reinforcing the project’s people-centric design approach.
The DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) methodology was deployed across the development, including for the office building’s façade features formed by structural steel volumetric units. Every aspect of ICPH 4 embodies efficiency, sustainability, and cutting-edge design thinking, marking a new chapter in the way we build.
ICPH 4 stands not just as a facility, but as a living model for productivity, innovation, and smart construction. It is a bold statement in Singapore’s journey to future-ready its construction industry.
