HON THOM RESORT ISIAND

Description
Hon Thom or “Pineapple Island” with a site area of 295 hectares, is the second largest island within the Phu Quoc archipelago in the Gulf of Thailand, a popular holiday destination in South Vietnam. The planning approach carefully applies new tourism opportunities in strategic areas, while leaving a majority of the idyllic tropical rainforest and coral reefs undeveloped. A pedestrianized green belt for tourist activities, serviced by an electric tram and restricting automobile use, maintains Hon Thom’s charming “sleepy island” qualities.
